What is SimBegin?
SimBegin is a course designed by the SAFER simulation centre for beginners in simulation and debriefing. It is a hybrid course- with e-learning; online workshops and a face to face workshop. The workshops involves participants of the course working in small groups to increase interaction with faculty and learning.
SimBegin course consists of
Module 1 – E-learning
Introduction to medical simulation, circle of learning and facilitation- e-learning.
Estimated time: 2-3 hours
Module 2 – Online workshops
Understanding how to deliver high-quality and structured pre-briefing, high-quality and structured CORE-debriefing- e-learning and 3 online workshops
Duration:3 workshops with duration of 2-3 hours
Module 3 – Face-to-face workshops
Implementation of multiple scenarios, pre-briefings and debriefings, post reflection on enhancing best simulation practice- face to face workshop at a simulation centre.
Duration: 1 full training day
